BEHIND THE BRAND
Pine Cone Paddock was born out of a love of wool products, creating joy, and a passion for textiles handed down to me by my Grandmothers and my mother.
Some of my earliest memories include exploring in the pine forest that surrounds my grandparents' home in the Blue Mountains. My siblings and I would imagine up fairy rings and goblins, trolls behind each corner and of course the wild hog or two. These memories are some of my most precious and can be found in details in my work. The red jacket inspired by Red Riding Hood, the gum nut baby fabric which reminds me of the little figurines we would make from hot gluing together twigs, nuts and leaves lovingly brought back from walks, the Australiana fabrics symbolic of our beautiful country.
Every piece made is unique and one of a kind. These hand-crafted items are designed to be re-used over and over again, keeping your littles ones tucked away from the frosty winter air.
Sustainability is front of mind when pieces are created, which is why recycled materials are used for the wool outer and buttons sourced locally when possible.
Creating Pine Cone Paddock has been a joy and I hope you love these pieces as much as I do.
